My First Cake…..I got paid for!!

My First cake that I technically "decorated" after taking my first Wilton Cake Class at Joann’s. It was fun!! The kids loved it too!
So over this past weekend, I just sort of played around with decorating another cake since I am doing Madelyn’s High School Musical themed cake. We ordered a CD case holder that is High School Musical so I will add that to the larger cake and tweek the decorations a little……take a look…..
This Wednesday (8/1) We will be decorating cupcakes—"professionally" HEHE!! It’ll be exciting I am sure!
Decorating
July 24, 2007 – 2:51 pmI started taking a class last week at Joann’s craft store, CAKE DECORATING! I am so excited about doing this. My hopes are to get really good at it make a little extra cash on the side. Who doesn’t like that??!! I have enjoyed making character cakes for the kids in the past and I made Josh as cookie cake for his birthday.
Granted you can learn to decorate on your own resonable well, but when you take a class like this you learn SO MANY great tricks of the "trade" (I wouldn’t call it a trade for me yet though). Stay tuned, I will post pictures of the cakes I am decorating.
